Julien has reason to be proud. But his sysrqd webpage delivered a clear stab to my eye:
[…] Authentication is made by clear password.
I really thought those days were over! Having a clear-text
protocol with single-password authentication may make
sysrqd responsive under high load, it’ll also ensure
that I’d never touch it.
I think it should be possible to implement at least digest authentication or even PAM without being too heavy on the system.
